The signature silhouette
One shape, drawn once and left alone. A structured body, a single rolled handle, and a turnlock cut with the monogram. Cut and stitched in Tuscany from Italian leather, in runs small enough that the atelier knows each one.
It is made in city editions. Same silhouette, different leathers, each one drawn from a place we keep going back to.

Available editions
Three cities so far, plus the Noir Clutch. Each edition closes when the run is finished and is not made again.
The original. White grained leather under a dark brown crocodile embossed flap, named for the stretch of coast the whole house came out of. If you want to understand the silhouette, start here.

Black grained leather, then a flap and handle in yellow ostrich embossed calf. It is the sharpest thing we make, and the only edition that will be noticed across a room before you are.

Not an edition of the Monaco but its evening counterpart. Black velvet, finished at the corners in crocodile embossed leather, hand sized and unstructured. Meant for the nights the Monaco stays at home.

The atelier
Every edition starts the same way, with a table of leathers and a decision about which one earns the run.
The Monaco began as one drawing, made because nothing on the shelf was quite it. A structured body that holds its shape empty, a handle you can carry all day, and a closure that does the work of a logo without behaving like one.
Every edition since has been the same silhouette in a different leather. We would rather make one shape properly than a new shape every season.
Handcrafted in Tuscany by a small atelier we work with directly. Leathers are chosen with them and picked for how they wear rather than how they photograph. The crocodile and ostrich finishes are embossed calf, not exotic skins. They will take on a patina, which is the point.
Cut, stitched, edge painted and finished by hand. Gold tone hardware, with the monogram cut into the turnlock.
Editions are made in small, deliberate batches. A new batch is only started once the previous one is nearly finished, so we are never holding stock that has to be moved.
It is slower and it means pieces sell out. We prefer that to the alternative.
The Monaco is not sold online. It is held at our Houses, where you can see it, hold it, and decide in person. Ask at the concierge desk and they will bring it out to you.
